Common Marmoset
Common marmosets are originally from north eastern Brazil. Now, due to habitat loss, they can only be found in south eastern Brazilian coastal rainforests. They inhabit many types of forests and are typically found around the edges, rather than deep within the forest. Due to their original range being altered, they are now considered to be an invasive species in Southeast Brazil, highlighting the importance and fragility of these ecosystems.
