Meet the Gibbons

Did you know Safari Niagara is home to the largest population of Gibbons in North America? These non-human primates know that it takes a village to raise a child. Come meet some of our juvenile gibbons and find out who watches them when mum needs a break (hint: it’s not us).

Did you also know gibbons are one of the most threatened families of primates? Mining, palm oil production, and illegal pet trade contribute to rapidly declining wild gibbon populations. Our Gibbon Keepers want to talk about what we can do to help.
