Cuiver's Dwarf Caiman
The Cuvier’s Dwarf Caiman (Paleosuchus palpebrosus) is the smallest living crocodilian. Averaging 1.2 to 1.5 meters (4 to 5 feet) in length and weighing 6–7 kg, these shy, nocturnal reptiles native to South America are recognized by their upturned snouts and heavily armored, reddish-brown scales
Axolotl
The axolotl is a critically endangered aquatic salamander native exclusively to the lake complex of Xochimilco in Mexico City. Known for their perpetual "smile" and feathery external gills, they are famous for never outgrowing their larval stage—a biological trait known as neoteny.
Gargoyle Gecko
The Gargoyle Gecko (Correlophus auriculatus or Rhacodactylus auriculatus) is a nocturnal, arboreal lizard native to New Caledonia. Named for the prominent bony horns and cranial ridges on its head, it grows to 7–10 inches long and weighs 45–65 grams. They feature varied patterns and regenerate their tails.
Green Basilisk
The Green Basilisk (Basiliscus plumifrons), also known as the plumed or Jesus Christ lizard, is a bright green Central American reptile famous for sprinting across water. Adults reach 24 to 36 inches long (including their long whip-like tail) and feature striking yellow eyes. Males are distinguished by prominent, sail-like crests on their head, back, and tail.
Kimberly Rock Monitor
The Kimberley Rock Monitor (Varanus glauerti) is a social, semi-arboreal dwarf monitor native to northern Australia. It is prized by reptile enthusiasts for its manageably small size (reaching 23–32 inches long), beautiful diamond patterns, and long, prehensile whip-like tail.
Spiny Tail Skinks
Spiny-tailed skinks are highly social, robust Australian lizards of the Egernia genus. Measuring between 14 to 40 cm long depending on the species, they feature distinctive, keeled, spiny scales and a spine-covered tail used to wedge securely into rock crevices to deter predators.
